I have recently joined an organistion that has top level strategic objectives defined and lower level scorecards are being developed. Working with the IT that will be aligning its scorecard with the scorecard of the companies it serves, I have been asked to put together an implementation strategy that will also facilitate STRATEGY MAPPING for IT. This I beleive is bacially based on the cause and effect relationship.
The company has already placed an order for a specific implementation software (CorStrategy, as they are already using CoVu). My dilema is to find a methodology that is software independent and that will help to implement the strategy map.
I believe that CorVu do actuallyprovide a tool that may facilitate the strategy map building process. if not do we carry out all our strategic objective links in strategy mapping process outside the software tool. This would be time consuming and in some ways defeats the purpose of acquiring software tools.
Does anyone have any ideas or an approach for the above. Please help!
